The design project for earBeans began in 2016 in Shanghai, China, and is currently in progress. The team faced numerous challenges, with the primary obstacle being how to make the earphones small enough to stay inside the ear without falling out while ensuring that one size fits all. Through extensive molding and testing, they were able to refine the shape and create the perfect fit.

EarBeans has received recognition for its innovative design. In 2017, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category.
